By giving your students the opportunity to be active in a schoolyard, you contribute to the global goal 4.7, which by 2030 must ensure that all students gain the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

School gardens present an excellent opportunity to get out of the classroom and bring the curriculum to life. There is much research that shows both improved study results, well-being and increased empathic abilities in students who have access to school gardens. It is also important to remember the immeasurable quiet knowledge communicated when children are working practically and close to nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We create farming opportunities at schools and even welcome groups to Gula Villan’s garden. In collaboration with the pedagogical staff, we develop activities that fit the program the school works with. In the school garden, global goals for sustainable development become more concrete. Apart from biology, other more unexpected subjects such as society, art, mathematics or language can be tied to the garden and linked to the goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
